Three Tiers, Same NOA Rating

Entry, mid-grade, premium — what you actually get

Every tier we install is Miami-Dade NOA-certified. The price difference is in the frame, glass, hardware, and warranty.

$1,000–$1,500 / window

Entry-Level

Aluminum frame, 5/16" laminated glass, single-hung style. Meets every Miami-Dade HVHZ code requirement at the lowest installed price for impact-rated openings.

  • Aluminum frame (white standard)
  • 5/16" laminated glass
  • Single-hung operation
  • Meets HVHZ + NOA
$1,500–$2,400 / window

Mid-Grade

Aluminum or vinyl frame with a mix of casement, sliding, and single-hung options. Better hardware, better seal, and Low-E glass for modest energy savings.

  • Aluminum or vinyl frame
  • Casement / sliding / single-hung
  • Low-E laminated glass
  • Upgraded hardware + finish
$2,400–$3,800 / window

Premium

Architectural shapes, custom colors, and laminated insulating glass (the thickest residential impact glass on the market). Top-tier brands like PGT WinGuard, ES Tecnoglass, and ECO Window Systems.

  • 9/16" laminated insulating glass
  • Custom shapes + bronze/black finishes
  • PGT WinGuard / ES Tecnoglass / ECO
  • Best-in-class warranty
What Moves the Price

Four factors that shift your quote

Opening size + count

Bigger openings (sliding glass doors, picture windows) cost more than standard single-hungs. Most South Florida homes have 1 window per ~200 sqft and 1 entry door per ~1,000 sqft.

Frame material

Vinyl is cheapest. Aluminum holds up best in coastal salt air and supports bigger spans. Composite frames cost the most but combine the strength of aluminum with the energy performance of vinyl.

Permit + product spec

Miami-Dade and Broward HVHZ permits cost more than Palm Beach / Martin / St. Lucie. NOA-certified products are required in HVHZ counties — they cost a premium but it's not optional.

Site access + finish work

Two-story homes, tight side yards, and stucco repair around openings all add hours of labor. We quote those line items separately so there are no surprises.

Impact Doors

Impact doors are priced separately

Doors run higher than windows because of the bigger glass, heavier frame, and threshold work. Here's what to expect.

Impact entry door (single)$1,900–$4,300
Impact entry door (double / French)$3,800–$7,700
Impact sliding glass door (6')$3,800–$6,800
Impact sliding glass door (8'–12')$5,500–$10,200
Impact sliding (multi-panel / pocket)$8,500–$21,000+

Four ways South Florida homeowners cut the cost

MySafeFlorida grant

Up to $10,000 in state matching funds for eligible single-family homeowners. We handle the application paperwork.

$0-down financing

180-month terms at 7.99% APR through SafeGuard's lending partner. Most homes start under $200/month.

Wind-mitigation insurance discount

Florida law requires insurers to discount windstorm premiums on impact-rated openings. Typical savings: 10–40% off the wind portion of your policy.

Phased install

On a tight budget? Install the front + most-exposed elevation first, finish the rest in 6–12 months. Same crew, same product line, no price re-quote.

Track Record

Through Every Major Storm Since 2007

SafeGuard has installed across South Florida through Wilma, Irma, Ian, Helene, and Milton. Here's what we've seen.

SEPTEMBER 2017 · CAT 4

Hurricane Irma

185 mph peak winds · $50B damages

Irma struck the Keys and crossed the state. SafeGuard installs across Miami-Dade and Broward came through with zero openings compromised. We were booked solid in the 12 weeks leading up to it — a lesson most homeowners learned the hard way that year.

SEPTEMBER 2022 · CAT 4

Hurricane Ian

150 mph winds · $112B damages

Ian devastated Southwest Florida. The brutal lesson from Ian wasn't just wind — it was flying debris from unprotected homes impacting neighbors. SafeGuard customers with full-home NOA coverage reported minor debris scuffs and intact interiors.

SEPT–OCT 2024 · BACK-TO-BACK

Hurricanes Helene + Milton

Helene Cat 4 · Milton Cat 3 landfall (Cat 5 peak)

Two major hurricanes in two weeks — Florida's most demanding storm test in a generation. SafeGuard's install base across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach came through standing. Not a single customer callback for impact failure.

OCTOBER 2025 · CAT 5

Hurricane Melissa (Jamaica)

185 mph sustained · One of strongest Atlantic storms on record

Melissa spared Florida but leveled parts of Jamaica. The lesson for South Florida homeowners: the next one's coming, and insurers everywhere are watching. Unprotected homes are becoming uninsurable in coastal zones. Now's the time to get ahead of it.
